  • Articles are now invited for the forthcoming Easter edition
  • The theme is “Anniversaries and what do they mean to you”.
  • Please do not, however, restrict your contribution to this as articles are welcome about Easter, of course, or any other subject of your choice.

GOOD NEWS! GOOD NEWS! FROM THE LEPROSY MISSION
  • WORLD LEPROSY DAY will be celebrated here on the 3rd February.
  • There will be gift envelopes in the pews and literature available, but the best news is that whatever you give in a donation will be doubled by the UK Government.
  • All donations up to £2million will be doubled (I don’t think we will make that!! But lets have a jolly good try! Thanks – Norma Gresty)
  • Envelopes may be returned via the collection plates all February
THE CHURCH FELLOWSHIP

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER (formerly known as Women’s World Day of Prayer)
  • This service is to be held at the English Martyrs R.C. Church on Friday, 1st March, 2019 at 2pm
  • All welcome
  • Refreshments to be served following the service
CHURCHES TOGETHER
  • The Lent Course is due to begin on the 10th March
  • There is a notice in the foyer with information
  • Forms are available from May Gandhi to complete and join a group
LADIES SPRING LUNCHEON
  • With guest speaker Roger Lloyd Jones at The Cliffs Hotel, Queens Promenade, Blackpool on Wednesday, 13th March, 2019, 12 noon for 12.30pm.
  • Tickets £16 now available from Pat Raynor, May Gandhi and Coffee Plus.
MWiB CIRCUIT QUIZ

To be held at Pilling Methodist Church at 3pm on Saturday, 16th March. More details later.

ANOTHER TEASPOON CHALLENGE!

The church kitchen is again short of teaspoons. If you have a spare teaspoon please pop it into the cutlery drawer in the church kitchen or hand to Barbara Banes. Thank You.

10.00 am  HOUSEGROUP meets in the Lounge

1.30 pm  CAMEO – Dr Graham Evans – Poulton – A Small Port

7.30 pm to 9.00pm  BIBLE STUDY at Church. Our current topic is “Angels” . We are sharing and seeking to understand a different bible passage each week. Please come along and join us.

SATURDAY

10.00 am to 1.00 pm  Poulton Friends of Trinity Hospice – Good-as-New and Coffee Morning at this church. Tea/coffee & biscuits and bacon barms on sale. Stalls including clothes, jewellery, cakes, preserves and a raffle.

10.30 am to 12 noon  “KNIT AND NATTER” in the Lounge. Bring your own
crafts with you. Everyone welcome.

4.00 pm to 6.00 pm  MESSY CHURCH at this church.

  • Come and share in a time of fun activities for all the family.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult.
